TA-WG
Technology Advisory Working Group
The Technology Advisory Working Group (TA-WG) has been established in 2013 to advise the Industrial Policy Committee (IPC) on the Agency’s technology policy and on the content of the Agency’s Technology Programmes.
It provides a forum to foster dialogue on Technology between ESA Member States, European Commission, Industry, Research Institutes, and ESA.
WHY IT IS NEEDED
The TA-WG coordinates with the Technology Harmonisation Advisory Group (THAG) to ensure consistent advice on technology mat ters to the Industrial Policy Committee (IPC).
HOW IT WORKS
The TA-WG meets as often as necessary in conjunction with the regular IPC meetings in order to discuss relevant technology matters. Representatives of relevant organisations, in particular the European Commission, may be invited to participate in the activities of the working group. The TA-WG Chair regularly reports to the IPC on its activities and provides advice to the committee on each technology related matter.
