ESA

Industry driven proposal

The TEC Directorate at ESA offers the possibility of co-funding certain activities for a wide range of entities

Entities including industry, SMEs, research institutions, universities and academia based in ESA Member and Participating States that are interested in developing technology for space, or with a strong relation to spaceflight.

If you have an idea or project for which you would like to evaluate how space can:

  • Fuel European innovation
  • Make a space-enabled mission possible
  • Conduct research in space

You are invited to review the specific ideas we currently seek.

Please consider that not all the accessible opportunities are relative to ‘technology’ development for the TEC Directorate, since the platform to which the link redirects shows announcements coming from all ESA Directorates.

These kind of opportunities are open all year and applicants can apply to different thematic programmes opportunities decided by Member States for which ESA usually defines:

The management requirements to run the activities
The (wider) thematic areas under which the activities are to be defined

Specific evaluation criteria

Eligibility criteria, such as request ideas from specific Member States entities

The timeframe in which the activity should be performed and closed

If funding is provided

the property of any deliverables resulting from the activity will remain with the entity/consortium that has requested the co-funding support.

Please be informed

Your entity should be already registered with ESA to be able to submit proposals and to be awarded a contract in case of successful selection. If you are not so registered, and you want to start to work with ESA, you are strongly recommended to start from the registration phase.
