Microvibration Characterization Facility
General Description
This facility is capable of measuring interface forces and moments in 6 degrees of freedom.
The forces and moments are introduced by the test specimen which is mounted on the test table.
The data set acquired can be used as an input to analytical models allowing a more accurate investigation of the contribution of unit level operational dynamics to subsystem or system level performances.
The facility can perform measurement at ambient pressure and at low pressure (10-1 mbar) using a vacuum bell and a dedicated pumping system.

- Frequency range: 5 – 900 Hz
- First natural frequency empty: 1200 Hz
Mechanical Interface
The RCF test table has dimensions of 320mm x 320mm and can cope with payloads up to 20kg.
