Weighscales for mass property measurements

General Description

The accurate weight of a satellite or a component is an essential measurement that is required for the calculation of Moments of Inertia as well as the measurement of the Centre of Gravity with Mass property measurement devices.

Therefore a set of precise weigh scales is operated in the test centre, covering the mass range from a few grams for a small screw up to 10 tons for a complete space craft. Via WiFi they directly communicate with the MoI / CoG measurement facilities to transfer precise weight information.
