Technical Reliability and Quality Division
The Division is responsible for the management of material, processes, electrical, electromechanical and electronic components evaluation and standardisation activities.
Structure
The Division is split into three sections and provides and coordinates support to all ESA projects/ development programmes in the areas of:

MATERIALS’ PHYSICS AND CHEMISTRY AND COVER ALL ASPECTS OF THE CERTIFICATION OF NEW EUROPEAN INDUSTRIAL CAPABILITIES

REQUIREMENTS AND STANDARDS
Furthermore, the Division is responsible for providing the Executive core functions in support of the European Space Components Coordination (ESCC) and European Coordination of Space Standardization(ECSS) system.
The Division, through the ESA REACH office (Regulation on Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals) , is also the ESA corporate focal point on issues related to environmental legislation (such as REACH and RoHS) and their related impact on ESA activities.
