The 2026 edition focuses on advanced manufacturing as an enabler for space applications. Sessions will highlight emerging technologies that expand design freedom, streamline production, enhance product performance and reduce costs.

The Space Safety Industry Day informs industry about the opportunities around the Programme’s activities for the years 2025-2028. The event will take place on 16 June 2026, at ESTEC (Noordwijk, HOLLAND), from 8h to 18h. &nbsp;

ATD3 workshop is a long-standing European forum which aims at fostering technical and scientific discussions, collecting and disseminating knowledge, proposing new topics and activities, and contributing to planning efforts, including roadmap definition and coordination.
The main objectives of the ATD3 workshop are to:
<ul>
<li>Establish a framework for the verification, validation, and comparison of numerical methods used in space object reentry simulation tools.</li>
<li>Disseminate recent scientific and technical results within the ATD3 community, which includes academic participants (in particular PhD students) as well as experts from industry.</li>
<li>Coordinate and discuss future activities, with the goal of gathering expert perspectives from both academia and industry on forthcoming developments in the fields of aerothermodynamics and design for demise</li>

Radiation shielding is essential to protect sensitive space hardware from the space environment, especially electronics and electrical systems, as well as for protection of crew for human spaceflight.
This short workshop aims to map the current state of the art in Europe in the field of radiation shielding for space applications, and to define areas for future research. This will include traditional approaches to radiation shielding as well novel shielding techniques which could be enabling technologies for future missions.&nbsp;
Experts working in non-space domain are also very welcome to attend.&nbsp;

The 3rd Zero Debris Future Symposium For senior decision-makers, high-level representatives and participants with relevant non-technical expertise, including regulatory, policy, legal and commercial matters.
A workshop of the Zero Debris Technical Forum For technical experts and specialists, including operators, researchers, and innovators, who can actively contribute to in‑depth discussions on technical solutions, current gaps, and key enablers required to achieve the Zero Debris targets.

The ISD is organised by the SME section in the ESA Directorate of Controlling, Finance and Operational Procurement to foster cooperation between different actors in the entire space sector.
Key elements of the event include:
<ul>
<li>pre-scheduled 1-on-1 meetings to establish new contacts in an efficient and time-saving manner</li>
<li>an exhibition with ESA and industry booths and the possibility to engage with future partners</li>
<li>keynotes and panel discussions with contributions by ESA, industry, investors and institutional partners</li>
<li>ESA presentations and workshops about business opportunities and future activities</li>
</ul>

ESA Industry Space Days 2026

The workshop is organized by the Working Group “Radiation of High Temperature Gas” (RHTG) managed by ESA, through the ESA Technology Directorate. The local organization for this event is managed by Institute for Plasma Science and Technology (ISTP) CNR, Bari section and Department of Mechanics, Mathematics and Management, Polytechnic University of Bari (Italy).
The Workshop is devoted to promoting a dialogue on the state of the art and recent advances for simulation/modelling and experimental techniques of hypersonic radiating gas flows for the determination of radiative heat fluxes encountered during atmospheric entry. The workshop provides the opportunity to explore related areas of research to face the challenges of future space flight.

<li>Non-equilibrium chemical kinetics</li>
<li>Hypersonic flows</li>
<li>Plasma radiative emission and absorption</li>
<li>Experimental facilities and experimental techniques</li>
<li>Experimental and numerical modelling improvements of radiative heat transfer: refinement, verification, validation and comparison for space object re-entry simulation tools</li>
<li>Test cases proposed for validation</li>
</ul>

The 4th International Conference on Flight vehicles, Aerothermodynamics and Re-entry (FAR 2027) brings together leading research institutes, academia, industry and agencies to discuss the latest advances and future directions on the topics of aero(thermo)dynamics, flight vehicles and flight physics, and atmospheric re‑entry.
